Day 6 - pissing, puppies

On waking there were many certainties - bleary eyed boys about to cycle 100km, pissing rain, Issy wondering if she could abort the trip and stay with the 10 hound puppies, the Driver losing her rag with the Navigator and Radish carrying on with her awful farts c/o eating all the Inkin’s cat food and a great b'fast from the Angel-James. Thank you for having us to stay.

Drop off in Cressage. As they regularly forget to charge our Garmins which guarantee a good jaunt we sought guardianship from a more godly form.

We quickly knew the boys would regret choosing not to take their overshoes. Today promises flat flat terrain and rain.

Basically going from bed to your bike, with the support crew doing everything in-between, has its hazards, but at least they are up-to-date with Snapchat's trivia before they ride.

Did you listen to the radio interview this morning? They said 'we were brilliant' and despite three attempts could not remember the blog site address. That will dent their fame and £ raising.

Knocked off their 103km in 4hr 36mins. Not bad for two young’uns. The roads have got worse, covered in cow shit today, had some nice views, were very wet, disc brakes failed them regularly and massively. Made it into Cheshire. Tomorrow we are going WAG spotting.

At Paolo’s tonight, in Wilmslow, without Paolo, who kindly left his key under a flower pot. Do you think burglars think of looking anywhere else? We knew he owned a nursery so Team Hampshire looked for trees and plants all along the road. Turned out was a different type of nursery.

Another guest rider tomorrow. I know he has an electric bike, the boys do not. I can see much time spent waiting for boys to come up the hills and humble pie.
